To figure out these matches, I calculate and weigh the sun (Aquarius) and different moon and ascendant signs, and how they should affect one’s personality and therefore compatibility. To be honest, without knowing the predicted (sun sign) match’s other signs, my calculations cannot present with complete accuracy.
Let’s have some fun and take your signs, for example: Sun in Aquarius is air, moon in Aries is fire, and your ascendant in Taurus is earth. Your ascendant is basically the “mask” you wear as your public persona. Having yours in an earth sign, you are likely to attract fellow earth signs and also water signs. Because the sun and moon reveal more of your vital energy, deeper personality, and emotional nature, we take a better look at those. Since yours are compatible, it’s easier to predict than for someone with opposing signs in those planets. Air and fire are compatible, so you would be compatible with air and fire signs, as well as some earth sign cusps.
Now, if you want an exact “perfect match,” these are the specifications you must look for in a partner:

I simply use the knowledge I’ve acquired to come up with as accurate of a prediction as I can, based on someone’s three main signs to choose one mere sun sign as their partner. This is mainly for fun, and to help people get an idea of what sun sign they should seek. Obviously, the sun sign is only one part of compatibility; I suggest giving every sun sign a chance, because you don’t know what other signs are awaiting in their charts to connect with you and raise your overall compatibility. :)

So an Aquarius with an Aries moon and Pisces is a great match for a Scorpio? Why? Normally I find things saying that a scorpio would be the worst pairing with an Aquarius?
If you’re basing compatibility strictly on sun signs, then yes, Aquarius and Scorpio are a terrible match. But we are not defined only by our sun signs (if we are at all!). The Moon and Rising (also known as Ascendant) signs (among others) are very important when analyzing true/total compatibility.

Yes, it is technically one of the most perfect matches of the zodiac. Of course, it is pure sun sign compatibility. There are a number of other factors (signs) to take into consideration when debating total compatibility (Rising, Moon, Mars, and Venus, specifically). Can I say thank you for seeming level headed? I see a lot of people asking if their signs will make or break their relationships, and you seem to always answer with signs are not the determining factor.Unfortunately I know too many people who choose to blame their sign for being the reason something worked out or didn't.

So I know that every Aquarius reading tells you to STAY. AWAY. FROM. SCORPIOS. However, my current (and first, actually) boyfriend is a Scorpio. In general, we seem to fit our signs... he is mysterious and sexy, and I'm a typical Aquarius. But when it comes to our relationship, it's like we switch roles. I'm possessive and full of emotion and he's spontaneous and good at floating off without saying anything. These are all the things they warn about with an Aquarius/Scorpio match, but in reverse. Will this help understand each other and get along in the long run, or is this going to eventually tear us apart?
It sounds like the two of you might have your sun signs in each other’s moon signs, which is perhaps the strongest indicator of compatibility possible, even with clashing sun signs. This shows that each person is emotionally in tune (the moon) with the other person’s ego (the sun).
Whether this is the case or not, I believe it will help you to better understand each other. There could be other (opposing) signs in your charts that are more dominant, so you may need to work on various aspects of your relationship over time.
