I was reading The American Politcal Tradition and The Men Who Made It by Richard Hofstadter and stumbled upon some information about our former president Abraham Lincoln (an Aquarius born February 12th, 1809) that is full of characteristics of the lovely water bearer. A few of my favorites:

He was described to have “surveyed the scene with his extraordinary brooding detachment” in reference to the civil war.

Charles Francis Adams Jr reported that Lincoln had “a mild, dreamy, meditative eye, which on would scarcely expect to see in a successful chief magistrate in these days of the republic.” Typical Aquarius— far ahead of the times. 

Wendell Philips expressed that is Lincoln was able to grow, “it is because we have watered him”. 

Lincoln stood up for civil rights and acted as a symbol of freedom. This independence and dedication to opening opportunities to all individuals, on a universal scale, reflects the high ideals and lofty goals that so many Aquarians strive to create and maintain.
